Well, Well, Well Mrs Keys – Beatz (keys & beatz a match made in heaven…lol) just can’t stop the hustle. With her first Mother’s Day approaching, J Records announced the pre-release of Alicias Songs in A Minor 10th Anniversary Edition albums. The three special edition albums include: a Deluxe Edition, a Collectors Edition and the release of the original vinyl albums. Both the Deluxe & Collectors editions have added 18 bonus tracks collectively. The official release date is June 28th, however you can pre-order the albums now.

In addition to the special edition albums, their will be a Songs in A Minor documentary to accompany the albums. The never-before-seen-footage covers her journey while making the album through to the official release of Song in A Minor, 10 years ago.

This documentary is an up-close account behind the making of
Alicia Keys’ fi rst studio album, songs in A minor. Not only will this
project commemorate the tenth anniversary of Alicia Keys’ sophomore
album, but it will also serve as a vehicle for Alicia to connect
with her fans on a personal level offering a deeper look at the
woman behind the music.

Alicia’s fans will be privy to intimate stories from family, friends and
close collaborators about the struggles and triumphs she encountered
in the making of her first record. Fans will have the rare opportunity
to hear Alicia speak candidly about Columbia Records’ rejection of the album and the relentless spirit that kept her going nonetheless. We will hear directly from music industry legend Clive Davis and Peter Edge who worked alongside Alicia Keys to make songs in A minor an international success selling over 11 million copies around the world and winning five Grammy Awards.

The film will be a stylized combination of archival footage shot on
the road, television appearances, music videos from the record
and a collection of photographs. This is the riveting story of an artist’s struggles and her passionate beliefs in her music. Through candid interviews and compelling storytelling, we will learn the inspirational story behind the making of a legendary album.
